Electional astrology:Rules and reading

Electional astrology compares event charts for feasible times. It asks how available options differ under a selected policy, rather than finding an absolute lucky moment. Current topics are public releases and explicit partnership agreements, without automatic natal matching.

Foundations and calculation

Compare two to five distinct moments or search up to seven days in 15-minute samples. The method uses seven traditional planets, tropical zodiac and Regiomontanus houses. Topic mappings and rule priorities select candidates. Sampled points are not continuous windows; minute checks do not establish second-level stability.

Worked example

If release is possible only Tuesday or Thursday afternoon, enter those constraints first. Compare the ascendant ruler, matter ruler and Moon. A higher-ranked Thursday option is unusable if the team cannot support the release then. Preparation remains part of the decision.

Reading and judgment

Read search boundaries, selection reasons and tradeoffs before the ranking. Identify whether differences arise from motion, contacts, dignity or placement. Ranking belongs to this rule version and is not an objective probability of success.

Common mistakes

The first candidate is preferred within sampled options, not the best moment of the year. Full traditional rules, natal matching, planetary hours and all blocking conditions are not covered. Horary roles should not be copied into an election.
