Feng shui analysis：Rules and reading
Feng shui analysis separates a building chart, personal data and observed conditions. The independent space chart uses a Xuan Kong lower-trigram method with building period, confirmed facing and analysis date. Light, ventilation, circulation and use require actual environmental information.
Foundations and calculation
Distinguish sitting from facing and confirm a magnetic-north measurement. Support is limited to the central nine degrees of each mountain with the whole error range inside it; replacement charts are not guessed. The display is south-up, and users supply sector assignments rather than automatic floor-plan segmentation.
Worked example
If readings cross a supported boundary, remeasure away from metal interference and record uncertainty. A work area assigned to north must be read with the north sector and actual use, not assumed to occupy the bottom screen cell.
Reading and judgment
Verify period, facing and error first; distinguish base, mountain, water and annual layers. Check room functions and immovable constraints. Address circulation, light and noise before discussing the traditional symbolic perspective.
Common mistakes
A personal Nine Star Ki grid is not a building Flying Star chart. An annual star alone does not determine a room’s quality. A number pair cannot justify expensive renovation or replace structural, fire, electrical or environmental assessment.
